					<description>Used brakes are a bad, bad idea. Stopping is the number one thing a vehicle should be able to do and going too cheap is just foolish. Unless there is about zero miles on the brakes getting them realigned properly is unlikely and therefore would cause stopping issues. Plus, as vehicles sit in junk yards rotors tend to rust, the same is true with drums. So the odds of even finding the parts are remote.

The parts listed above are about the best I can find for my particular van. Generally speaking I'm totally in favor of junk yard parts, and would use then when possible, but the brakes will be new.</description>

					<description>Have you thought about getting some brakes from a junk/salvage yard? People get car parts there all the time at a fraction of the price. You could ask them if you could inspect the vehicles to find the one with the best brakes left on it, or maybe they will do the service for you.</description>
